This striking pendant lamp, model “High Chaparral” (B-1052), was produced by Raak Amsterdam in the 1960s and is a fine example of mid-century Dutch design. The lamp features a sculptural shade made of grey smoked glass, characterized by its elegant, bowl-like form and distinctive central drop. The organic silhouette gives the piece a strong yet refined presence, while the smoked glass softly diffuses the light, creating a warm and atmospheric effect. A gold-coloured / brass metal fitting completes the design, adding a subtle contrast and a touch of luxury. The “High Chaparral” series is known for its expressive glasswork and bold modernist character, making this lamp both a functional light source and a sculptural statement.
