You can view the bids of the current auctions by logging in and then clicking on Bidding history at the top of the website. Here is an overview of your current bids with information about when the lots close and what the highest bid is at the moment. You can place a new bid on the current auctions directly from your account page.

  • Q: Will I be notified if someone outbids me?

You will receive an email notification if someone outbids you. PLEASE NOTE! No confirmation or outbid emails will be sent during the last 3 minutes of the auction or during any extension of a lot. You must therefore keep an eye on the website for any outbids.

  • Q: Is it possible to view the lots?

The lots can only be viewed on the viewing day scheduled for that purpose. When the viewing day for the auction is organized can be found in the details of the auction in question.

  • Q: How does the closing of an auction work?

The closing time of the auction can be found in the auction details on the homepage, in the details of the auction in question, and in the details of each lot. PLEASE NOTE! The auction of a lot will automatically be extended by three minutes if a bid is placed in the last three minutes, until no more bids are placed in the last three minutes. The person with the highest bid at the close of the auction will be awarded the lot.

  • Q: When and how will I receive the invoice?

Within 24 hours after the auction has ended, you will receive an email notification with the lots you have won and the invoice. The invoice can only be paid via “My account.” Cash or debit card payments are not possible. It is important to pay the invoice no later than 1 day before the collection date. The lots awarded to you must be collected by you on the collection day. We request that you bring a copy of this invoice with you on the collection day after payment. Shipping your purchases is NOT possible.

  • Q: Can lots be shipped?

Shipping of goods is not possible. If you would like to have your lot(s) picked up, please contact the delivery service Auction Logistics. Requesting a delivery price is non-binding and can be done via http://auctionlogistics.nl/. Plaats Je Bod is not responsible for the delivery service. For the delivery of your lot(s), you enter into an agreement directly with Auction Logistics and the General Terms and Conditions of Auction Logistics apply.

  • Q: Can I also buy outside of the auction?

Once inventories from bankruptcy proceedings are online, it is no longer possible to purchase these items outside of the auction. Sellers (and in some cases also the bankruptcy judge) have given permission for an online auction, and this cannot be deviated from without further ado. Plaats Je Bod sometimes also sells complete bankruptcy estates privately. To stay informed about this, you can register here.

  • Q: Can I follow a lot without bidding?

You can mark a lot as a favorite on the relevant lot page by checking “Watch item”.
This lot will then appear in your Watch list under My account.

  • Q: Can I delete a bid?

A bid is binding and cannot be withdrawn or deleted. Every bid is irrevocable at all times. If you, as a user, are the highest bidder on a lot and you have been awarded the lot, you are obliged to purchase the lot. Plaats Je Bod has the authority to refuse to recognize a bid as such and to exclude one or more users from the auction.

  • Q: How does the auction pickup day work?

After you have been allocated the lots you have won, received the invoice, and paid it, you must collect the allocated lots on the designated collection day. The collection day for the auction can be found in the auction details for the auction in question. We request that you bring a copy of the invoice with you on the collection day after payment. You are responsible for dismantling and transporting the lots yourself. You must provide any tools, manpower, lifting, packaging, or transport equipment required for this yourself.

Administrative/contact

  • Q: Who am I buying from in the auction?

At Plaats Je Bod, we facilitate an online auction website for “sellers”; you always buy directly from these sellers at the auction. Sellers at Plaats Je Bod are mostly receivers, banks, bailiffs, etc.

  • Q: Who will send me my invoice for the auction purchases?

Plaats Je Bod creates all invoices for our sellers. After the auction closes (and the bid is awarded), the buyers receive an email notification that the invoice has been created. The invoice can be found in My Account where it must also be paid. The invoice shows the name of the seller and your auction purchases, plus the Buyer's premium of 22% and the legally required VAT, if applicable.

  • Q: Who should I ask if I have questions about the auction items?

For each individual auction, you will find an email link in the auction details where you can ask questions relating to the content of that particular auction. Plaats je Bod is not the owner or seller of the lots and therefore cannot respond to questions about the items on offer, the auction location, etc.

  • Q: What questions can I ask Plaats je Bod?

For questions regarding the bidding process, your account, malfunctions, and website-related issues, please contact Plaats Je Bod if they are not listed on this page. You can do so via the email contact form on our site.

  • Q: Can I return my online purchases if I am not satisfied?

In principle, all auctions on Plaats Je Bod are bankruptcy auctions or foreclosure auctions, which means that the right of return does not apply. Purchases are therefore binding and are not covered by the Distance Selling Act.

  • Q: Do I have any kind of warranty on my purchases?

At the auction, you purchase items “as is” in their current condition; items are not tested. Any known defects will always be mentioned, but you are still responsible for inspecting/examining any auction purchases yourself. We always recommend that you take advantage of the viewing day if this option is available. The seller cannot therefore provide any guarantee!
