Description
Sculptural stainless steel cooler / ice bucket in a playful postmodern design, featuring a rounded conical body pierced with stylised geometric human figures around the rim. The piece stands on three brass conical feet, giving it a light, architectural presence. The combination of polished steel, graphic cut-outs and brass tripod base strongly recalls Italian design language of the 1980s, particularly work associated with Alessi, though this example is unmarked and not attributed to Alessi. It’s in Good vintage condition; surface wear and patina consistent with age, structurally sound. European manufacture, circa 1980s. The humorous figurative cut-outs and mixed-metal construction place this firmly within late-modern / postmodern domestic design, a period influenced by Italian radical design but widely interpreted by other European makers.
