Extra Large Ceramic Black Fat Lava Vase with Red High Gloss Enamel, West Germany 1960s. Impressive extra-large ceramic vase produced by ES Keramik (Emons & Söhne) during the height of the West German Fat Lava period. The vase features a deep black, heavily textured lava glaze, dramatically contrasted by a glossy red dripping enamel at the rim. The strong colors and textures of this vase make it a fine example of the ceramist's work.
